Spent the day driving through the nation's heartland, and we are camped for the night near Valentine, Nebraska, just about 5 miles south of the South Dakota border. Another long driving day, but it was easy roads. Our campsite is in the middle of a field, among the rolling sandhills. Very green, lots of birds, and it's only 66 degrees! Tonight, we sleep with the windows open.
Tomorrow, we will see Mount Rushmore and head toward Yellowstone for several days. We were there years ago with the kids, and we've always wanted to go back. It's Betty's favorite spot in the US, and we are really looking forward to being there again.
